Here are some pictures of Speedy.

This is him a few weeks old and still all patchy.

Here he is in January all snuggled up in my bed while I read him a story.

This is Speedy playing Gecko Chess. He is allowed to move in any direction and any number of squares like a queen does but any piece he touched he can take so he is much better than a queen!

We are learning about Julia Donaldson at school so I decided to read Speedy some of her books in my bed.  You can just see him peeking out from under my spotty quilt.

He was then a bit cheeky and climbed all over my Marmite sandwich!

Today I cleaned out Speedy’s house and put new sand in for him. I found that he did not eat the mealworms I put in and they just escaped from the food bowl. They had turned into adult beetles and the old sand was full of baby mealworms! Speedy had a farm of crickets before as they were to fast for him to catch and kept breeding. My gecko is a farmer.

Today was Christmas Reptile craft day.  Speedy spent the whole time inside the Santa hat I made, he was so happy and warm inside there. The other children loved holding him too.

I got to hold a lovely baby Royal Python that was so cute and curled around my arm.
