My pond is a newt nursery. Last month I found that my pond was full of newt egg sacks. I have seen 4 Great Crested newts in my pond.
Now the pond is full of baby newts that Mummy keeps calling Newt-poles. They are so cute!
Today I caught some to look at them and they are getting really big. I think there are two different species of newt babies. I just put my net in the pond and catch two of three every time!

Did you inspect one closely through your magnifying glass? I bet it’s interesting! I never saw a newt-pole before.
We have loads more newt eggs in the pond.
This is how you catch newt-poles in my pond
1. Just dip your net in and you will have 2 or 3 newt-poles
2. Do this again and again and you will have about 20
I have names one really cute one Cutie and three others are names Amelia, Jemima and Lizzie
Today I am taking some to Grandad Dennis to put in his pond
